Titan® (Skin Tightening)

What is Titan®?
Titan® is a safe, non-surgical process that uses an infrared light source to tighten skin and reverse the signs of aging. Titan® heats the dermis to cause collagen contraction while preserving the epidermis through continuous cooling. In addition, Titan® can stimulate long-term collagen rebuilding that leaves patients with younger looking skin.

Titan® treats lax and redundant skin throughout the body, including the stomach, thighs and arms, and is also used to tone, lift and tighten skin on the face and neck.

What areas respond best to the procedure?
Titan® has successfully treated patients on many areas of the body where the skin is lax, including the face, neck, abdomen and arms. Titan® can also be effective treating around the eyes and knees.

How does Titan® work?
Titan® utilizes a safe infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. During the treatment, the skin's top layer (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling.

Who can be treated?
Any skin type and age can be treated. Titan® has proven especially effective for post-natal skin laxity.

How is Titan® different?
Titan's light based platform provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources such as radiofrequency.

How many treatments are necessary?
Single treatments have produced very good results for most patients. However, it is common for patients to have two or three treatments over a few months to achieve maximum results. This will be determined at the time of the first consultation.

What kind of improvement is expected?
You can expect tighter, smoother skin on treated areas, along with an improvement in overall skin tone (fillers or surgical procedures cannot achieve this). Immediately following the procedure, the collagen starts contracting. Over the weeks following, and as patients have more treatments, the results are going to build, as collagen is tightening continuously for 6 months.

What do treatments feel like?
Each Titan® pulse produces a brief heating sensation.

What happens after the treatment?
With Titan®, there is no downtime after the procedure; however, you may notice a slight pink color immediately after the treatment. This should subside within half an hour.
